Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026. This policy describes how IB Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data. It is written to meet European Union (GDPR) and United States (including CCPA/CPRA and other state) privacy standards, and to support our use of LinkedIn’s Member Data Portability APIs where applicable.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
Data controller: IB Solutions. You can reach us at contact@ibsolutions.dev for any privacy-related request (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or complaints).
We are based in Europe and operate in line with EU data protection law. For visitors and users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, we process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK/Swiss laws. For visitors and users in the United States, we also comply with applicable state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA.
2. What data we collect and why
- Contact form: When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, message, and (if provided) service interest. We use this to respond to your inquiry. The form is processed by Web3Forms; their privacy practices apply to that submission. Legal basis (GDPR): consent and/or legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
- Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we receive your email address. Subscription is handled by Mailchimp (Intuit). We use your email to send you the content you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email. Legal basis (GDPR): consent.
- Website usage: We may collect technical and usage data (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) to operate the site, ensure security, and improve our services. Where we use cookies or similar technologies, we do so in line with applicable consent and transparency rules. Legal basis (GDPR): legitimate interest (operation and security) or consent where required.
- LinkedIn data (Member Data Portability): If we integrate LinkedIn’s Member Data Portability APIs (or related portability features), we may receive data that you have provided to LinkedIn or that was generated through your use of LinkedIn, only when you explicitly authorize our application to access it. We use that data solely to provide you with data portability (e.g. to export or use your own LinkedIn data as you choose), in line with LinkedIn’s DMA Portability API Terms and API Terms of Use. We do not use LinkedIn portability data for advertising, profiling, or re-identification. See Section 7 for more detail.
3. How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Contact form data: for the duration of the conversation and a reasonable period thereafter for follow-up. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. LinkedIn portability data: only as long as you have authorized us and we have a legal basis; we delete it when you request account closure or deletion of that data, unless we must retain it to comply with law. Technical and security logs may be kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
4. Your rights (EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland – GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and receive a copy.
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances.
- Restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, have it transmitted to another controller.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest (including profiling).
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. in your country of residence or where we operate).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@ibsolutions.dev. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (e.g. one month under GDPR, subject to extension where permitted).
5. Your rights (United States – CCPA/CPRA and other states)
If you are a resident of California or another US state with similar laws, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose (including categories and purposes).
- Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; if our practices change, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-out mechanism.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@ibsolutions.dev. We may need to verify your identity. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf in accordance with applicable law.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies (e.g. local storage) to operate the website, remember preferences, and analyze usage where we have a lawful basis (consent or legitimate interest). Where required by law (e.g. in the EEA), we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies; some features may not work correctly if you disable them.
7. LinkedIn Member Data Portability (third‑party API)
To support legally required data portability (including under the EU Digital Markets Act), we may use LinkedIn’s Member Data Portability APIs (Standard Tier or equivalent). This allows members and, where applicable, page administrators to obtain and use their own LinkedIn data through our application.
- What we access: Only data that you (or a page admin) have provided to LinkedIn or that was generated through your use of LinkedIn, and only after you explicitly authorize our application via LinkedIn’s consent flow. We do not scrape, crawl, or access LinkedIn content outside the official Portability APIs.
- How we use it: Solely to enable data portability (e.g. to export or transfer your data as you request). We do not use portability data for advertising, profiling, re-identification of anonymized data, or any purpose inconsistent with LinkedIn’s Portability API Terms.
- Storage and deletion: We store portability data only with your consent and for as long as we have a valid legal basis. We delete all of your portability data when you request it or when you close your account with us, except where we must retain it to comply with law.
- Third-party terms: Our use of LinkedIn’s Portability APIs is subject to LinkedIn’s Additional Terms for the LinkedIn DMA Portability API Programs and the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. Where we process personal data received from LinkedIn, we comply with applicable data processing agreements and privacy laws.
If you have questions about LinkedIn’s handling of your data, see LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy. For requests to us about data obtained via the Portability APIs (access, deletion, portability), contact contact@ibsolutions.dev.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in or transferred to countries outside your residence (e.g. where our service providers operate). When we transfer data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms as required by applicable law.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to maintain high standards in line with the risk and nature of the data we process.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. For material changes that affect how we use your data, we will provide additional notice where required by law (e.g. by email or a prominent notice on the site). Continued use of our services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
11. Contact
